Default The Best Of The Best

Lately with all skill being nerfed it seem we are limited to build, but i seen build out there still going,Iway,Foc,Aoe,EoE,And Well Rounded.to me it seem well rounded are very original and made to be the best in game, for this reason i like to ask.WHICH BUILD IS THE BEST? was guildwars meant to only have one build that beat the rest or it is all in team work.

There is no "one best build" because every build has a counter. If it doesn't have a counter, then it gets nerfed.

invincimonk also wasn't used in pvp, that nerf was for pve reasons

also, the builds listed in the opening post are simply the most common--most guilds will have their own builds that they don't share so openly

A Single focus build IMO will never be a dominant build for more than a weekend. Balanced builds have the easiest ability to adapt to the metagame and fix the reasons you lost, hence why alot of the better teams run more of a balanced build to open up more options during battle.

The best build is one that you understand and are comfortable with. This is true for both team builds and individual builds.

I've gone against teams that have copied Free Faction's hex build nearly skill for skill. We mauled them, simply because we know what makes the build tick.

I created a very unorthodox E/Mo healing build. Everyone I have played with agrees that I am a competent healer using it; by all accounts it's not a weak build. I posted it on my guild's forums, and one of our other healers tried it out in arenas. His response was something like: "I can see how you do well with this build, but damn, it's hard to get the hang of."

Then I tried playing a traditional monk-primary healer, and found myself running out of energy all the time -- because I was used to the limitless energy pool of my E/Mo. It took me a while to get the hang of when to conserve energy and when to cast constantly.

All builds have advantages and disadvantages. The best build is the one that you're familiar with, enough to know its strengths and weaknesses.

Thats for sure, and its fine, but arent you running out of energy on a longtime fight when you use monk as secondary profession ?
perhaps you have one of the ele skills as energy management, but still you need to cast much more then a primary monk to heal it out. The biggest advantage of it is when you have decent energy management skills, just have fun with your build =)

Ether Renewal is the best energy management skill in the game. It's been nerfed, but with a little work it still lets you cast all you want.

You have got to be kidding me. Invincimonks were regularly slaughtered in pvp, every time I've seen them (not always by me, but by someone on the team). I don't mean killed after 20 minutes, I mean dead when people bother to pay attention to them.

Invincimonks were played in PvP, but they didn't really interact much with the rest of the PvP world. People ignored them and the pathetically little amount of healing they could produce until someone got around to killing them with (insert way to kill invincimonk here).

I think my funniest Invincimonk story was one guy who'd cast his maintained enchantments in the wrong order, and had Protective Bond on top.

Shatter Enchantment, splat, gg.

I love fighting invincimonks. They belong in pve, where stupid shit is allowed... ^_^

Invinci Monk: "HAH HAH WARRIORS CAN'T HIT ME!!"

Kei Kusanagi: I'm using Rend Enchantments on Invinci Monk!"

"YOU F******ING BASTARD!!!"

Kei Kusanagi: gg... Maybe next time, you'll realize I eat people like you for breakfast... Cowardly enchant user... MUAHAHHAHA.
